DARJEELING, August 24: A high level team of Gorkha Janmukti
Morcha (GJM) led by party general secretary Roshan Giri has
embarked on a tour of Northeastern States in a bid to extend its
organization to these regions.
The other members of the GJM team are assistant secretary Binay
Tamang and central committee member Passang Lama.
Mr. Tamang said that the GJM team will visit Nagaland, Manipur,
Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. He said that the purpose
of the tour is to extend the party base to these States and also
to garner support from the Gorkha population from these States
towards the Gorkhaland movement. We will also try to understand
the problems of the Gorkhas in these States and seek solutions,
he said.
The first visit of the GJM team is scheduled at Kohima, the
capital of Nagaland.
A four member advance team of GJM has already in Northeast
region to prepare for the visit of the GJM high level team. |
